Kulgam Accident: Poultry Transport Vehicle Overturns, Driver Survives Crash

In a tragic road accident a truck carrying poultry overturned in the early hours of Monday, May 18 near Khudwani bypass area in South Kashmir's Kulgam district, killing hundreds of poultry birds. According to reports, while passing through the bypass, the vehicle went out of control and overturned on the road due to which a large number of birds died on the spot.

Fortunately driver of the vehicle, who has been identified as Nisar Ahmed, resident of Ompora Budgam, survived the incident. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took possession of the vehicle, a part of which was damaged in the incident, and started the process to dispose of the dead birds and also took cognizance of the matter and started investigation.

At least 10 people died after speeding truck collided with a van in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri district on Monday, May 18 morning. The accident occurred near Sisaia, located on NH-730 in the Isanagar police station area of Lakhimpur Kheri. The impact of tragedy was so hard that van was completely destroyed.

Officials reported approximately ten passengers were in the van. The accident triggered panic in the area, and locals alerted the police. Authorities arrived at the scene to conduct rescue operations. Locals stated the van was en route from Lakhimpur to Sisaia, while the truck approached from Bahraich, resulting in a head-on collision.
