Lucknow: A major fire erupt at the slum cluster in Vikas Nagar area which created significant panic among locals as thick smoke engulfed surrounded the area. Fire fighters immediately responded to the emergency services and they are trying to control the blaze. This incident took place on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 evening. 

Following a fire in the densely populated Vikas Nagar slum, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed officials to the scene to expedite relief and rescue operations. Authorities are working to control the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures.

Local authorities are coordinating relief measures and assessing damage, with teams on site monitoring the situation and assisting residents. Details on casualties are still awaited.

Earlier, fire broke out in building in Gotri area of Vadodara, Gujarat, on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. Following the incident firefighting team rushed to the spot. As of now their are no casualties and injuries reported.  Firefighting team are currently trying to douse of the blaze. Further details regarding the cause of the fire and the extent of damage no known yet.
