Madhya Pradesh Road Accident: Father-Son Duo Die After Truck Hits Their Motorcycle in Satna

Madhya Pradesh: In an tragic road accident man and his minor son on motor cycle died after getting hit by truck in Madhya Pradesh's Satna district. Accident occurred on Tuesday night near Matehna village under the Kolgawan police station limits. Following the accident, truck driver was later arrested. 

As per the PTI reports, victims were returning to home from their farm on motorcycle when a speeding truck tragically hit their vehicle rear side between Kripalpur and Matehna. The impact of the accident was so strong that truck and died on the spot, said Kolgawan police station in-charge Sudip Soni.  Shankhdhar Kewat (35) and his 11-year-old son, Siddharth Kewat, residents of Tedhgawan, have been identified as the deceased. Police have seized the truck and arrested the driver.

A case has been registered, and further action is underway, according to Soni. Following the accident, villagers briefly blocked the road, preventing police from recovering the bodies. Senior officials persuaded the villagers and family members to allow a post-mortem examination. The bodies have since been released to their families. 

In separate accident four people, including two tourists, died in different incidents across the Kashmir Valley on Wednesday, while 10 others were injured in a house collapse in Bandipora district, officials said. Two male tourists were brought dead to hospitals in Srinagar on Wednesday, officials said. A tourist, in an unconscious condition, was brought to the SMHS Hospital in Srinagar from a hotel near Dal Lake.

Doctors at the hospital declared him dead on arrival. The deceased was identified as 41-year-old Taranjit Singh, son of Pushvandar Singh, a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
