The world-famous traditional Jallikattu in Madurai's Alanganallur has already begun at 7 am on Saturday, January 17. District Collector Praveen Kumar and Minister Murthy inaugurated the bull-taming event along with the bullfighters.
Thousands of bulls and hundreds of bullfighters are participating in today's competition. It is reported that the competition will consist of 10 to 12 rounds. The top finishers in each round will be selected for the final round.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin will give the winning prize to the winner. The runner-up will get a bike, and the third will be given an electric bike. Similarly, the owner of the cow that performs well on the field is given a tractor by the Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin. The second-best bull is given a motorbike and the third-best bull is given an electric bike.
