NDDB appeals to dairy coops to be ready for demand hike

The National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) has appealed to dairy cooperatives across the country to take urgent measures to ensure uninterrupted supply of milk and milk products to avoid panic buying.

New Delhi, March 26 The National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) has appealed to dairy cooperatives across the country to take urgent measures to ensure uninterrupted supply of milk and milk products to avoid panic buying.

Shri Dilip Rath, Chairman, NDDB, said, "In view of the present COVID-19 pandemic, NDDB has appealed to all dairy cooperatives across the country to take essential measures for continued supply of milk & milk products."

"In case of any difficulty in maintaining the dairy supply chain, the dairy cooperatives are advised to contact the local authorities," he added.

NDDB also requested the dairy cooperatives to make suitable arrangements for ensuring uninterrupted collection, chilling, transportation and processing of milk and availability of fodder in villages.
