Secunderabad, Nov 27 Two long distance trains, Thiruvananthapuram - Korba and Ahmedabad - Chennai, have been diverted due to the effects of the very severe cyclonic storm Nivar on Friday.

"In view of the cyclonic weather conditions prevailing in the south coastal region of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu due to the impending severe cyclonic storm Nivar, trains are diverted," said a railway zone official.

The Thiruvananthapuram - Korba train has been diverted via Chennai Central, Arakkonam, Renigunta and Gudur.

Ahmedabad - Chennai Central train has been diverted via Gudur, Renigunta and Arakkonam.
