In a tragic turn of events a 19-years-old NEET aspirant was found hanging in house as she was feared of not clearing the exam he appeared. This incident occurred in Odisha's Bhadrak district, deceased identified as Jyoti Prakash Barik, a resident of Nunda village under Tihidi block. As per the information provided by police, deceased was found hanging from the ceiling of their rented house in Bhadrak town police station area.

Police reported that Jyoti Prakash was declared dead on arrival at Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital. Bhadrak Town Police have registered a case of unnatural death and begun an investigation. Prakash's family stated he was under significant stress after Sunday's NEET exam, which he hoped to pass after failing the previous year. 

The NEET-UG is a national-level entrance exam for various undergraduate medical courses. Prakash's father, a tea stall owner, spent approximately Rs 3 lakh on his son's coaching. "Fearing another failure, he might have died by suicide," his father stated. Family members told reporters that Jyoti Prakash was alone at home the night of the incident.
