Patna: Man Seriously Injured After Falls into Open Sewer While Getting Off Bicycle; Video Goes Viral

Video of shocking accident have surfaced on social media in which cyclist narrowly escaped death after falling into an uncovered roadside drain. This accident occurred in Patna and as captured on CCTV footage, raising serious questions about safety measures.  As a young man was cycling along the road, he suddenly lost balance and plunged directly into the open drain.

CCTV footage of the incident shows the cyclist falling into the drain without getting any chance to react or regain control. A nearby group rescued a youth from a drain after he fell in. Residents quickly pulled him out, saving his life, although he suffered serious injuries. The incident has sparked criticism of the Patna Municipal Corporation for negligence. Residents claim many uncovered drains throughout the city endanger pedestrians and commuters.
