Prime Minister Narendra Modi played football with local youngsters in Gangtok on Tuesday, April 28, during his visit to the state.
The Prime Minister was seen in football gear as he joined the children for a brief session, interacting with them and taking part in light play. Sharing the moment on social media, he described it as an energising experience and said there was nothing like playing football with young people on a pleasant morning in Gangtok.
PM Modi had arrived in Gangtok on Monday to attend the closing ceremony of Sikkim’s 50th Statehood Day celebrations. During his visit, he also met Padma awardees and individuals who have made notable contributions in various fields.

"Clearly, an energising football session with these youngsters! Nothing like playing some football with my young friends in Sikkim on a lovely Gangtok morning!," PM Modi Wrote.
Photographs from the session showed the 75-year-old Prime Minister warming up, dribbling past young players and taking a shot at goal, while also sharing informal moments with the participants.
