A shocking murder case has surfaced in Kharar, where a father was allegedly killed by his minor daughter and her lover after he opposed their relationship. His body was recovered from a canal five days after the incident. After Gursevak Singh Beeti, a Khar resident missing since May 1, was found murdered, police took his body to Civil Hospital in Phase-6 for post-mortem.
Following legal procedures, Gursevak Singh's body was released to his family. Police report he was stabbed in the neck and thrown into a canal. Singh's wife, Rajwant Kaur, had previously reported to police that their 17-year-old daughter was having an affair with Vikas Shah.
Reportedly, both families pressured the couple to marry, but Singh opposed the relationship due to his daughter's age, causing domestic disputes. Kaur told police her daughter threatened the family, and Singh disappeared after she returned home from an absence. After a fruitless search, Kaur filed a complaint, suspecting her daughter and Shah. Shah confessed that on May 1, the daughter lured Singh out of the house under the pretense of stomach pain and summoned Shah. Together, they forced Singh into a car and drove him to Morinda.
Gursevak Singh was murdered after a conversation with two accused, who slit his throat and dumped his body in a canal to destroy evidence. The body was recovered from a canal in District Mansa around 1:00 AM on Wednesday. A post-mortem was conducted on Thursday, and the body was released to the family. A minor female suspect is in a juvenile home, and her boyfriend is in police custody. Police stated Gursevak Singh was killed by a sharp weapon. The accused fled after disposing of the body. Police are searching for the murder weapon and other evidence; further details are expected after the post-mortem report.
