Ramadoss to give Rs 3 cr for purchase of medical equipments

Former Union Health Minister and Rajya Sabha member Anbumani Ramadoss on Wednesday announced allocation of Rs 3 crore from his Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) for purchase of medical equipments by the Tamil Nadu government to combat the spread of coronavirus spread.

Chennai, March 25 Former Union Health Minister and Rajya Sabha member Anbumani Ramadoss on Wednesday announced allocation of Rs 3 crore from his Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) for purchase of medical equipments by the Tamil Nadu government to combat the spread of coronavirus spread.

According to the PMK leader, the state government needs huge funds for the purchase of thermal scanners, protective gears for the medical professionals, ventilators, gloves Coronavirus test kits and others.

In an attempt to help Tamil Nadu government's efforts to contain the diseases a sum of Rs 3 crore will be provided for purchase of medical equipments from the MPLADS, he said.

Similarly the DMK President M.K. Stalin has asked his party Members of Parliament and Legislative Assembly to discuss with the District Collectors and allocate necessary funds for the purchase of medical equipments to contain the virus.
