Surat Fire: Massive Blaze Engulfs Scrap Shops and Vehicles Near Kamej Toll Plaza
A huge fire broke out late on Monday night, January 26, near the Kamrej Toll Plaza on the outskirts of Surat, Gujarat destroying several shops and vehicles. The blaze erupted in a cluster of scrap shops, prompted a emergency response from the Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) and local fire stations. While property damage is extensive, no casualties have been reported.
The fire was reported shortly before midnight in an area heavily populated with scrap yards and small industrial warehouses. Fueled by highly flammable materials, including plastic waste and discarded rubber, the flames spread quickly to several trucks and cars parked in the vicinity.

It took emergency crews approximately two hours of sustained effort to surround the blaze and bring it under control
