School bus returning from a picnic met with an accident and crashed into road barricades at Fatikcherra in Mohanpur block, West Tripura. This incident occurred on Sunday, January, 18, 2026. According to ANI report, bus was  returning from a picnic met with an accident after it lost control and crashed into road barricades. 

According to Prajit Malakar, Officer-in-Charge of the New Capital Complex Police Station, a Delhi World Public School bus returning from a public trip crashed into road barricades this evening after the driver lost control.

At least 14 people, including the driver and a minor girl, were killed, and more than 50 others were injured after a private bus plunged into a deep gorge near Haripurdhar in Himachal Pradesh’s Sirmaur district on Friday, January 9, 2026.

According to the reports, the bus was travelling from Shimla to Kupvi when it veered off the road and fell into a nearly 100-metre-deep gorge near Haripurdhar village, around 95 km from the district headquarters, Nahan. The vehicle reportedly landed upside down and was completely damaged

Two to three people sustained minor injuries. The bus has been seized, and an investigation is underway.
