In an tragic accident, two people died after their bike got collided with truck, while they were heading towards Azamgarh from Kanpur via the Purvanchal Expressway. Following the accident, police and UPDA personnel rushed them to a nearby hospital for treatment. Both died during first aid due to excessive bleeding. Police informed the deceased's family about the incident, took possession of the bodies, and sent them for post-mortem.
Sumit Gaur and Shubham Gaur, sons of Buddh, residents of Keshavpuram Kalyanpur Colony, Kanpur Housing Development, were traveling to attend a program in Paway, Azamgarh district, via the Purvanchal Expressway on Sunday. At around 11:00 pm, they reached the 134th kilometer milestone of the Purvanchal Expressway in the Jaisinghpur police station. His bike went out of control and hit a trailer parked on the side of the expressway. Both were seriously injured in the collision, and their bike was completely destroyed.
Following the incident, the UPDA rescue team and police arrived at the scene and conducted rescue operations. The victims were transported to the 100-bed Birsinghpur Hospital, where the on-duty doctor pronounced them dead after administering first aid. The trailer driver fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle. Police notified the deceased's family and initiated the Panchnama and postmortem procedures.
On Monday morning, based on a complaint by the deceased brothers' father, Buddha Gaur, police registered a case against the unknown driver and sent the bodies for postmortem. Police Inspector Pramod Mishra confirmed the trailer was seized and the bodies were sent for postmortem.
