Uttar Pradesh Accident: 10 Killed in Fatal Head-On Collision Between Truck and Van in Lakhimpur Kheri

At least 10 people died after speeding truck collided with a van in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri district on Monday, May 18 morning. The accident occurred near Sisaia, located on NH-730 in the Isanagar police station area of Lakhimpur Kheri. The impact of tragedy was so hard that van was completely destroyed.

Officials reported approximately ten passengers were in the van. The accident triggered panic in the area, and locals alerted the police. Authorities arrived at the scene to conduct rescue operations. Locals stated the van was en route from Lakhimpur to Sisaia, while the truck approached from Bahraich, resulting in a head-on collision.

Police have taken custody of the deceased's bodies for post-mortem examination. In a separate incident, a speeding vehicle lost control after hitting a pothole in Abohar, Punjab on May 12, 2026, at 2:25 pm and crashed into an e-rickshaw, killing three people. CCTV footage shows the Mahindra Bolero pickup truck hitting the pothole, losing control, and colliding head-on with the e-rickshaw.

The impact crushed the e-rickshaw and threw passengers, resulting in the fatal crash that has shocked the internet and raised concerns about road safety.
