Trailer truck got stuck for leading to traffic disruption for approximately seven hours near the Badrinath Highway petrol pump in the district headquarters. This incident caused inconvenience to commuters On Friday morning at 5 AM. After considerable effort, the highway was finally cleared for traffic around 12 PM.
According to Jagran report, on Friday morning at 5 AM, a truck trailer carrying heavy machinery and heading towards Gauchar got stuck on the Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway near the Rudraprayag petrol pump. This resulted in a five-kilometer-long traffic jam on both sides of the highway. Police and administration made significant efforts to clear the jam, but it took a considerable amount of time to move the trailer, which was stuck in the middle of the road. Meanwhile, long queues of vehicles formed from the petrol pump to Sumerpur and Gulabrai.
Police cleared a traffic jam on the Jawadi bypass caused by a stuck trailer. Around noon, they used a JCB excavator to move the trailer off the road, allowing traffic to resume. Deputy Superintendent of Police Prabodh Ghildiyal confirmed that removing the trailer resolved the congestion and restored traffic flow.
