Ayesha Jhulka reveals the exact reason why she doesn't want kids even after 17 years of marriage

Ayesha Jhulka was one of the most popular Bollywood faces in the 90s. She is still emembered for her roles in films like Kurbaan, Khiladi, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Waqt Hamara Hai and Masoom.

The actress left her flourishing Bollywood career after marriage and chose to stay away from the spotlight. And it was a deliberate decision she took. She got married in 2003 and is happily enjoying her marital bliss. The 48-year-old actress, however, doesn’t have a child and it was a conscious decision that she and her husband Sameer Vashi took.

Years after staying away from the limelight, Ayesha finally opened up about love, life, marriage and the decision to not have any children.

Speaking to ETimes, Ayesha spoke about her decision to not become a mother. “I don't have kids as I didn't want them; I spend a lot of time and energy on my work and social causes. And I am glad that my decision went down well with the entire family”, shared the actress.

Showering heap loads of praises on her husband Sameer, Ayesha shared that he is a wonderful husband and how well he supported her in the decision.

She further added, “He has enhanced my life by giving me the freedom to express myself in various quarters of life and supporting me in whatever I wanted to do. I never felt any pressure.”

Ayesha also threw light on the fact if it was a deliberate decision on her part to move away from films after marriage. She said that having started working quite early, she wanted a “normal” life and she thoroughly “enjoyed” it. She felt that choosing to stay away from Bollywood after marriage was a “good decision”.

On the film front, Ayesha headlined many blockbuster Bollywood projects, namely, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Chachi 420, Barood, Run, and Socha Na Tha among others.
