You will be surprised to know that more than 5 million dead bodies are buried in this world's largest cemetery and this cemetery is equivalent to a city in size. The name of this cemetery is 'Wadi-us-Salam', which is located in the city of Najaf in Iraq and have 1485 acres, this cemetery is also known as 'Valley of Peace' which is visited by millions of people. It is said that about 200 dead people are buried in this cemetery every day. This cemetery is very famous among Shia Muslims, it is said that Shias around the world prefer this place to bury themselves and their relatives after death. This cemetery is very old as people are buried here for the last 1400 years. While the neighboring countries of Iran and Iraq fell into chaos, with the onset of war in the eighties, the number of deceased buried at Wadi-us-Salaam doubled up very quickly. As many as two hundred and fifty bodies were buried during the Iraq War in a single day. The gravesite was also the scene of severe clashes during the height of the Gulf War of the nineties. The rebels sought refuge in the crowded graveyard and the Iraqi army had to raze the tombs down to the ground to comb for insurgents.
