Congress leader Abhishek Singhvi has urged the nation to stand up for Sushant and watch his last screen outing Dil Bechara. Taking to his Twitter Singhvi wrote, "#DilBecharaTrailer should be shared widely and the movie must be seen widely. I didn't know Sushant, didn't see too many of his films, but I feel we have a responsibility on our hands to ensure that he gets his dues." The trailer of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film Dil Bechara will be released today. Set to premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar on July 24, the film, helmed by casting director Mukesh Chhabra, is based on John Green’s 2012 bestseller The Fault In Our Stars.
It was slated to release in theaters on May 8, but got delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The film also stars Sanjana Sanghi, Saif Ali Khan and Swastika Mukherjee in pivotal roles. Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide at his residence in Mumbai on June 14. While a few fans are celebrating the release of Dil Bechara's trailer, some of them are criticising Mukesh Chhabra's decision to release the film on an OTT platform. Earlier, Singer Armaan Malik postponed the release of his single "Zara Thehro" after learning about the release of Dil Bechara trailer. Armaan shared a note on his social media platforms, which read, "I just learned that the trailer of Dil Bechara also releases on 6th July and as a mark of utmost respect for Sushant Singh Rajput, we as a team have collectively decided to postpone the release of our upcoming single 'Zara Thehro' to the 8th of July."
