Goa Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat has condoled the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who is alleged to have committed suicide at his Mumbai apartment on Sunday.

"I am shocked with the news of unfortunate death of young actor Sushant Singh Rajput. My condolences to his family and friends. May his soul rest in peace," Kamat said in his condolence message.

The actor was found dead in his flat in Bandra on Sunday, even as police believe he may have committed suicide.

Rajput was known for his depiction of the Indian cricket icon M.S.Dhoni in the latter's biopic "MS Dhoni - The untold story".

Kamat also said that Rajput's passing away was a huge loss to the Indian film industry.
