Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar and her son Parth Pawar left Baramati for Katewadi to seek the blessings of late Ajit Pawar’s mother on Monday morning, April 6. Sunetra will file nomination papers later today at 12.30 pm for the Baramati by-poll. 

According to the information, BJP leader Chandrashekhar Bawankule, along with other senior leaders from the National Congress Party (NCP) will be present during the filing of her nomination. State NCP president Sunil Tatkare said that Shiv Sena UBT president Uddhav Thackeray has conveyed that his party will not field any candidate against Sunetra for the Baramati by-poll.

Tatkare said NCP executive president Praful Patel is also trying to reach out to Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge to request him not to field any candidate against NCP Chief Sunetra Pawar. 

Meanwhile, Congress Party state unit President  Harshwardhan Sapkal sent names to the party central unit to finalise Congress for the by-poll. Congress's Akash More has been selected as the candidate against Sunetra, sources told The Times of India.
