Pune: In a tragic turn of events a speeding private bus veered onto the footpath after driver lost his control. In this incident two women riding a two wheeler were critically injured after being struck by the bus. Injured individuals are currently receiving treatment and doctors have reported that their condition is stable. The accident occurred around 6:30 AM on Thursday, April 30th at the centrally located Abhinav Chowk. In connection with this case, the police have taken the bus driver, Kiran Rambhau Kachare (aged 42), into custody.

According to the police, the speeding driver, Kiran Kachare, was traveling from Swargate through Abhinav Chowk around 6:30 AM on Thursday. At that moment, he lost control of the vehicle, resulting in the accident. The two women on the two-wheeler sustained injuries after the bus rammed into their vehicle from behind with great force. The injured women suffered head and leg injuries in the crash.

Alerted by the sound of the accident, local residents as well as citizens who had stepped out for their morning exercise rushed to the scene. Subsequently, the Khadak police assisted by the citizens admitted the injured women to the hospital. Meanwhile, the accident caused significant damage to the iron railings on the footpath near Atre Auditorium.
