Pune Bomb Scare: CCTV Video of Suspect Surfaces After Suspicious Object Found at Hadapsar Hospital

Panic spread in Pune after a bomb-like object was found at a reputed hospital in the Kamdhenu Estate area of Hadapsar on Wednesday, May 12. The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) later safely defused the suspicious object, averting a major mishap. Meanwhile, a video of the suspect who allegedly placed the object at the hospital has surfaced.

According to information, a suspicious box was found on the second floor of Usha Kiran Hospital in Pune’s Kamdhenu Estate area at around 7 pm. After hospital staff noticed the object, the Hadapsar police were immediately informed.

Following the alert, teams from the Crime Branch, local police and the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) reached the spot under the guidance of Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar.

As a precautionary measure, the entire estate area was evacuated by around 8:30 pm, and heavy police deployment was made in the area. Officials said all necessary precautions were taken considering the possibility that the object could contain explosives.

CCTV Video 

At around 9:30 pm, the suspicious object was safely shifted to the grounds of the Hadapsar Paragliding Centre, where it was defused by the BDDS team.

The incident caused fear among local residents and hospital staff. According to police, CCTV footage shows the suspect arriving at the hospital on an electric scooter. He allegedly placed the object in the men’s toilet near the intensive care unit. Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said a search operation is currently underway to trace and arrest the suspect.
