Panic among locals after a firing took place in Pimpri-Chinchwad near Pune on Friday night, May 16, involving the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The incident took place in the Ravet area after unidentified bike-borne assailants opened fire at a furniture shop.
According to the information, the firing occurred at around 9.40 PM at AJ Furniture Mall. Five to six rounds were fired at the shop by unidentified men on a motorbike and they fled the scene. The incident created panic among locals. After receiving the information, Pimpri-Chinchwad swung into action and cordoned off the area. The Forensic Department also reached the spot to collect evidence and begin an investigation into the incident.

Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Involved
Police said the bullets were aimed at the mall’s nameplate, and the firing damaged the glass facade of the building. However, no injuries were reported in the incident. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang allegedly claimed responsibility for the attack.

Police said a social media post allegedly uploaded by Lawrence Bishnoi gang member Shubham Lonkar claimed responsibility for the firing. The post reportedly accused AJ Furniture Mall owner Ashok Nain of involvement in drug smuggling and carried threats of further violence.
An audio clip allegedly linked to Arju Bishnoi, said to be the brother of Lawrence Bishnoi, has also surfaced online. The clip reportedly contains threats directed at those opposing the gang. However, media reports said the authenticity of the audio clip has not been independently verified. Police are investigating all angles related to the case.
