Three bears accidently cross the path of skiers at a ski resort in Northern California. The video of a surprising moment, which shows the wild animals sliding on the slope, went viral on social media sites. The incident is said to occurred on Friday, February 18, at Northstar California Resort in Truckee.
According to eyewitnesses, wild bears crawled out of nowhere from the snow and bushes and started running in front of skiers. The incident was recorded on the mobile camera by Barclay Weyhrauch, according to a KTLA news report.
“We thought they were humans at first,” he said. “Then we thought they were big dogs, then everyone realised they were bears and everyone started yelling ‘stop!’”
In a video shared on social media, a person can be heard yelling, asking the skies to stop and move or "get out of here" as the bears ran across the skier’s path.
One person can also be heard saying, “This is terrifying,” while another remarks that ski resort residents are in the bears’ habitat, not the other way around. The bears eventually made their way into the wooded area. The moment serves as a reminder that when you’re in the mountains, you’re in wildlife territory.
