New Delhi, Oct 24 Homegrown Indus Battle Royale game has crossed seven million in pre-registration for its first-ever esports tournament to be held on October 28, the company said on Tuesday.

Created by Pune-based developer SuperGaming, Indus battle royale game is meant for mobile, PC, and consoles with pre-registrations live on Google Play for Android.

“Since our last community playtest in our studio, we feel we’re ready to see how the game performs in competitive environments featuring India’s best teams. We’re grateful for their support in building India’s most ambitious battle royale to date,” said SuperGaming co-founder and CEO, Roby John.

Pre-registrations for the game are live now on Google Play for Android and will follow soon on App Store for iOS and iPadOS.

The teams already invited for the Indus esports tournament are Orangutan, Godlike Esports, Team 8bit, Global Esports, Enigma Gaming and Reckoning Esports.

There’s a total prize pool of Rs 10 lakh, with the winner receiving Rs 5 lakh.

The version of Indus for the esports tournament will include the entirety of “Virlok” — the game’s map, improved control options, design balances, and enhancements across visuals, and animations, the company informed.

SuperGaming is founded by John, Sanket Nadhani, Christelle D'cruz, Sreejit J, and Navneet Waraich.

Along with building popular mobile games such as MaskGun, Silly Royale, and Tower Conquest, it has invested deeply in building its own gaming platform called SuperPlatform for running hyperscale, real-time multiplayer games that include the official PAC-MAN game.
