Thane Water Cut: 24-Hours Supply Disruptions in Mumbra, Kalwa, Diva and Other Areas on This Day
The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) has announced a 24-hour water cut starting from Thursday, April 23, in several areas as civic body to undertake maintenance and pipeline upgradation works under the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) water supply scheme.
TMC said the water cut will begin at 12 pm on Thursday, April 23 until 12 pm on Friday, April 24. The pipeline repair work will take place at Barvi Gravity Pipelines at the reservoir within the Jambhul Water Treatment Plant.
Affected Areas:
Mumbra, Diva, Kalwa, parts of Majiwada-Manpada, and select pockets under the Wagle ward committee. While issuing the official statement, the TMC also highlighted that the water supply shutdown will be observed in Diva, most parts of Mumbra (excluding sections of ward numbers 26 and 31), Kalwa, and the Kolshet Khalcha Gaon area in Wagle.

Officials stated that the water supply in these regions is routed through the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation, and the scheduled work is essential to ensure long-term reliability of the system, causing a water cut for a few days.
TMC said there will be low pressure even after supply resumption on April 25 or the next day.The civic body further appealed to the citizens to store adequate water in advance and use it sparingly during the disruption period.
