An unknown person issued a bomb threat to superstar Chiyaan Vikram who resises with his family in Chennai. The police officials along with the bomb squad rushed to Vikram's house to conduct a thorough search. Later, they called it a hoax and asked officials to trace the call. After a thorough check, the officials called it a hoax. The control room then sprung into action to trace the caller. The police found out that the bomb threat was made by a person in Villupuram. In earlier cases, a mentally-challenged person from Marakkanam in Villupuram had issued bomb threats to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and several other actors. Police suspect that the same person could be involved in this as well.For the past couple of months, actors and famous personalities in Tamil Nadu have been receiving fake bomb threat calls. The police also traced the caller to a person in Villupuram.The person, who is issuing bomb threats, is reportedly mentally-challenged. His parents have apologised for his action several times, but the fake bomb threats don't seem to stop. Chiyaan Vikram was last seen in director Rajesh M Selva's Kadaram Kondan. He is now waiting to resume the shooting of his upcoming film, Cobra, directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu.The makers of Cobra had to stall the shooting midway in Russia due to the travel ban imposed across the world because of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.Cobra also stars former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan, Srinidhi Shetty, KS Ravikumar, Babu Anthony, Roshan Mathew and Mirnalini Ravi in prominent roles.
