Stockholm, Jan 2 Sweden has taken over the helm of the six-month rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU) from the Czech Republic.Sweden will hold the presidency for six months until June 30, reports Xinhua news agency.On December 14, 2022, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson presented priorities of his country's presidency security, resilience, prosperity, democratic values and the rule of law.Kristersson told Parliament that "Sweden is taking over the Presidency at a time when the EU is facing unprecedented challenges.
