Many have compared it to the infamous Ranveer Allahbadia controversy, calling the ad "outrageous" and "disgusting. "The commercial aired during the India vs. Pakistan match in the ICC Champions Trophy on February 23, features a grieving woman who expresses frustration over her late husband's failure to purchase term life insurance for the family.In the ad, the woman says, “Main school ki fees kaise bharungi, ghar ka kharcha bhi hai” (How will I pay the school fees? There are also household expenses…). She then adds, “Tum toh term life insurance liye bina hi chale gaye” (You left without even buying term life insurance), as the camera pans to a photo of her late husband, garlanded, symbolizing his death.Although the intention was to emphasize the importance of financial security for families, the ad has sparked discomfort among many social media users. An X user called the advertisement an insult to men and humanity labelling it worse than Ranveer Allahbadia controversy on India's Got Latent which sparked a huge uproar across the country.The post has gone viral, accumulating over 1.3 million views and more than 2,500 comments and shares.
