University has one satellite campus located in Bhakkar. Its first acting chairman was Vice-Chancellor Riaz-ul-Haq Tariq. Former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Sargodha, Dr. Muhammad Akram Chaudhary has been awarded best Vice-Chancellor of any university in Pakistan.
