2 minor warkaris drown in Godavari basin in Paithan

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Two minor warkaris were drowned after they went to take a bath at the Godavari river basin in Paithan on Thursday.

According to details, four students who were taking Warkari Sapraday education at a math in the Ragarahati area of Paithan went to have a bath at the river basin this afternoon.

They could not judge the depth of the water and drowned. However, warkaries who were in nearby areas rushed to help save them from hearing cries. Two of them aged 13 and 10 years were drowned and died.

One deceased who has been identified as Chaitanya Ankush Badar (13, Walsa Khalsa, Bhokardan, Jalna) was studying in standard 8th along with the Warkari Sparaday course. The body of this young boy was fished out.

The name of another deceased is Bholenath Kailas Pavle (10, Chitegaon, Paithan) was studying in the fifth standard along with the Warkari Sampraday course. His body could not be traced due to darkness.

Police inspector Sanjay Deshmukh said that the search would be launched in the morning of March 21 to trace the body. Sub-Divisional Police Officer Dr Siddheshwar Bhore and Police Inspector Sanjay Deshmukh immediately visited the scene and launched a search operation.

The body of the minor warkari Badar has been kept at the Government Hospital in Paithan. The search for the body of the minor warkari Bholenath Pavale will be launched on Friday morning.

Assistant Police Inspector Dashrath Burkul is investigating the incident.
