2 water resources department clerks booked for missing service book

Aurangabad, Nov 28:

Two clerks of the water resources department were booked at the Jawaharnagar police station on Friday for negligently missing the service book of their lady colleague clerk. The suspects have been identified as M S Koli and K S Suradkar.

Jawaharnagar police station PI, Santosh Patil said, the suspects are presently working at the water resources department sub-divisional office at Vaijapur. Earlier, they were posted at the machine department at CADA office two years back, and they were looking after the establishment department work at that time. The government has taken the decision to computerize all the service books of the government officers and employees. Accordingly, the lady clerk had given her service book to these two clerks in March, 2018. While handing over the service book, it was noted in the inward – Outward register and took the receipt of receiving the book from the clerks. Still, the service book had disappeared. She could not get a promotion and salary hike as the book was not available. After receiving the complaint, the department initiated an internal departmental inquiry, and both the clerks were held responsible. A case was lodged at the Jawaharnagar police station by assistant engineer Mohammad Tareq Nadim Mohammad Faeemoddin as per the senior officers'' orders. The police have started the investigation.
