Aurangabad, June 22:

A total of 390 persons obtained a learning licence from home in the district during the last seven days. The Regional Transport Office (RTO) started an online test first time to issue a learning license.

Earlier, a candidate needs to visit the RTO office for the test of learning licence. Many a time, long queues of candidates were seen at the RTO. The online system will reduce the rush there.

Assistant RTO Swapnil Mane said that the online test for learning licence was started and 390 persons obtained it during the last seven days.

The vehicles are also being registered online through authorised dealers.

He said that efforts are on to remove the minor problems being surfaced in the new system.

Those who do not have Aadhar Card or do not want an online test can visit the RTO office for a learning licence test. Now, one can obtain a learning licence without an agent.
