Aurangabad, April 13:

The health teams of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today has detected 59 persons as Covid-19 positives during the special testing drives conducted at separate places in the city.

53 Covid-19 patients detected at six PoEs

The AMC has tested visitors entering the city limits through six points of the entrance (PoE) today. The health teams tested 208 persons and found eight infected patients at Chikalthana PoE; tested 220 and detected 21 at Harsul T Point PoE, tested 150 and found 12 Covid-19 positives at Kanchanwadi PoE, tested 525 and detected four at Octroi Naka PoE, tested 274 and detected four at Daulatabad T-Point PoE, and four were detected by testing 219 at Jhalta Phata PoE.

Six passengers detected as Covid-19 patients

One train and five air passengers, who had arrived in the city on Monday, have been reported as Covid-19 positive today. As reported earlier, the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) health teams had conducted RT-PCR tests on 86 passengers arriving at the railway station by trains and 25 passengers arriving at Chikalthana airport by planes on April 12. The AMC received the RT-PCR reports of these passengers today. Meanwhile, the AMC health teams have conducted RT-PCR tests of 96 train passengers arriving in the city and 23 tests on air passengers at the airport today (April 13). The administration will receive their reports by tomorrow.
