Aurangabad, May 8:

The Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE) is likely to postpone the scholarship test to be held for students of class 5 and 8 standards for the second time.

Earlier, the test was scheduled for April 25. It was postponed for the first time. The Council announced that the scholarship test would be conducted offline mode in all the districts of the State on May 23, as per the new schedule.

The students and their parents are worried because of the current COVID situation and feel a threat to aspirants health if they step out of home for the examinations.

There is a demand from students and parents to postpone the test again.

According to sources, the date of the pre-upper primary scholarship examination for class 5th and pre-secondary scholarship (eight standard) examinations is May 23, 2021.

"With the rise in the ratio of COVID patients and their deaths in the State, the MSCE has decided to postpone it. However, not announced the decision yet. It will be making an announcement within the next few days,” the sources said.

The scholarship test will comprise questions topics including first and third languages, Mathematics, General Knowledge and will be held for one hour 30 minutes for two papers, paper one and paper 2.

The aspirants were given an opportunity to choose any of the eight languages as a medium. The eight languages are Marathi, Urdu, Hindi, Gujarati, English, Sindhi, Telugu and Kannad.
