6 officers, employees given farewell in Bamu

Aurangabad, May 31:

A total of six officers and employees of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) were given farewell in a programme held on Tuesday on their retirement.

Pro-Vice-chancellor Dr Shyam Shirsath presided over the ceremony. Registrar Dr Jaishree Suryvanshi, management council members Dr Rajesh Karpe, Dr Fulchand Salampure, deans Dr Walmik Sarwade and Dr Bhalchandra Waykar, State unit vice-president of university employees Dr Kailas Pathrikar and others were present.

The names of those retired today are garden superintendent Dr Govind Humbe, assistant registrar Shobha Kisave, senior assistant Jeevan Dongre, Kailas Deshmukh, S R Jamdade and Ranjana Jagdale.

Speaking at the farewell programme, Dr Shyam Shirsath said that change is the law of nature and those who change their lifestyle with the pace of time, survive.

Dr Rajesh Karpe said that teaching and non-teaching staff members are two wheels of a chariot which is called university.
