Aurangabad, Feb 24:

A total of 61 nomination papers were declared invalid for Aurangabad District Central Cooperative Bank (ADCCB) election.

Nearly 214 nomination papers were submitted for the election. An objection was taken on the nomination of the sitting bank chairman Nitin Patil. However, presiding officer Mukesh Barahate rejected it.

The objection on the nomination papers of Ranganath Kale was also rejected.

The nominations of Santosh Jadhav from Maharashtra Navnirman Sena and Nandkumar Gandhi were declared invalid. The last date of withdrawal of the nomination papers is March 10. There is a tough fight in each category.

There are 36 candidates in the fry for the five seats of the non-agriculture category.

Some of the candidates' names is as follows; Minister of State Abdul Sattar, Nitin Patil, Haribhau Bagade, Ambadas Danve, Ramdas Palodkar, Baburao Pawar, Appasaheb Patil, Shrirang Salve, Jagannath Kale, J K Jadhav, Eknath Jadhav and Dilip Bankar.

A total of nine nominations were found valid in the agriculture produce processing category. The names of some of the candidates are Ambadas Mankape and J K Jadhav.

The tehsil-wise valid nominations for Societies Category is as follows;

Aurangabad (six), Phulambri (ten), Sillod (six), Soyegaon (two), Kannad (12), Paitahn (four) and Gangapur (eight). There are 36 valid nominations in the non-agriculture category.

Six nominations were declared for one seat from the reserved category, while five nominations are valid for one seat from the OBC category, seven nominations for one seat of VJNT.

Prominent candidates names from different categories are as follows;

MP Dr Bhagwat Karad, MLC Satish Chavan, Ramesh Bornar, Annasaeb Mane, Damu Anna Navpute, Abhijit Deshmukh, Deoyani Dongaonkar, Sunanda Anil Patil, Sameer Sattar, Javed Patel, Kiran Patil Dongaonkar and Sunita Vilasrao Chavan.
