67 pc candidates declared eligible for PhD presentation

Aurangabad, March 16:

Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) declared the result of the second paper of the Ph D Entrance Test (PET)-V on Wednesday.

The PET has two papers. A total of 11,154 candidates took the first paper of 50 marks on January 30 while the result was declared on February 1. A total of 6,383 candidates were declared eligible for the second paper.

The PET second paper of 100 marks was conducted online between 10 am to 1 pm on March 13. The result was declared today. The combined result of both the papers will be announced on March 20.

The minimum passing marks for the general category (reserved candidates 45 pc) were 50 pc. A total of 4,299 candidates (67.35 pc) were declared eligible for the presentation. A total of 2,084 were announced ineligible. Those who obtained minimum marks are eligible to give Ph D present before the research and recognition committee next month.

The highest number of candidates (384) from English subject was declared eligible for PH D presentation while the lowest figure of eligible candidates is in Liberal Arts (just two).

The subject-wise eligible candidates' list as follows; Archaeology (two), Biochemistry (28), Botany (187), MBA (233), Chemistry (317), Commerce (205), Computer Science (240), Dramatics (20), Economics (109), Education (240), Electronic Engineering (42), Environmental Science (46), Fine Art (19), Food Technology (18), Geography (95), Geology (20), Hind (90), History (187), Home Science (16), Law (78), Library Science (102), Marathi (184), Journalism (26), Mathematics (39), Mechanical Engineering (80), Microbiology (56), Pali (17), Pharmacy (13&0, Physical Education (108), Physics (220), Political Science (148), Psychology (58), Public Administration (seven), Sanskrit (eight), Social Work (85), Sociology (105), Statistics (11), Phule-Dr Ambedkar Thoughts (16), Tourism Administration (17), Urdu (30), Water and Land Management (five), Women Studies (10) and Zoology (235).
