Aurangabad, Feb 6:

The activists of the Janandolan Sangharsh Samiti, who have initiated agitation for the support of the Farmers’ agitation were arrested at Paithan Gate on Saturday afternoon.

The activists gathered at Paithan Gate and shouted slogan against the union government like Inqualab Zindabad, Cancel Farmers Laws and others. The agitators carried red flags in hand. They were arrested in the afternoon and were taken to the Kranti Chowk police station.

They demanded that the Swaminathan Committee recommendations should be implemented immediately and MSP for the farmers’ yield should be declared, farmers should be given loan waivers, increase the expenditure on the agriculture sector and other demands.

The members of the Samiti, Bhagwan Bhojane, Buddhinath Baral, Umakant Rathod, Madhukar Khillare, Subhash Mane, Nitin Wawhal, Chandrakant Chavan, Abhay Taksal, Bhausaheb Hire, Abhay Wadmare, Gopichand Chavan, Nandkishor Kabra, Namdev More and others were present. CPI, CPI (M), Aam Aadmi Party, Shetkari Kamgar Paksh, SFI and other organizations participated in the agitation.
