Aurangabad, Oct 24:

Acting upon the state government''s order, the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) administrator A K Pandey has announced re-opening of gyms and fitness centres in the city from Dussehra (October 25). Meanwhile, gymnasiums and fitness centres will have to adhere to standard operating procedures (SoPs) as they are re-opening after seven long months.

Considering the inconvenience faced by youths, the decision is taken under Mission Begin Again. The members or visitors will have to wear face masks or cover. The AMC''s order expressed concern over respiration during exercise. Hence, the order suggests to put on multi-layered or single-layered face masks made of cotton cloth. The hands should be washed with soap for 60 seconds and sanitised for 20 seconds.

Each member visiting the gym should self analyse the health, and if any symptoms are found, then he should inform the AMC helpline. Spitting on gym campuses as well as at public places is banned. The gym or centre-owners should not allow entry to children of age less than ten years and elderly persons above 65 years. It is mandatory to sanitise the gym before re-opening. Each gym should place hand sanitiser at the entrance, stated the order.
