Aurangabad, March 10:

The special task force constituted by Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today has recovered Rs 48.33 lakh in the form of property tax and water tax from Zone Numbers 3, 5 and 8 in the city.

In Zone Number 3, the AMC recovered property tax dues of Rs 1.23 lakh (post-dated cheque) from Zafar Khan; Rs 63,955 (PDC) from D D Shinde of Mhada Colony; Rs 1.09 lakh (PDC) from Devidas Mahdhane of Ganesh Colony and cash of Rs 72,120 from Ratan Bugale of Kaiser Colony.

In Zone Number 5, Ladwal (of Shivneri Colony) paid property tax dues of Rs 24,483, and Sandeep Agarwal (of N-5) paid Rs 50,000.

In Zone Number 8, Suyog Jain (Runwal) of Nakshatrawadi paid property tax dues of Rs 18.17 lakh (through cheque) and National Law University (at Kanchanwadi) deposited water tax dues of Rs 25.73 lakh (through cheque), said the head of special task force and deputy commissioner Aparna Thete.
