Aurangabad, April 27:

The Fire Brigade Department of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) conducted a fire audit of five hospitals on the second day on Tuesday.

As per the State Government's directives, administrator Astik Kumar Pandey set up a special squad to see that hospitals have competent machinery to handle fire situation.

The fire audit of 56 hospitals will be carried out in the first phase.

The audit of the hospitals of the city began on Monday.

During today’s audit, it was found that three hospitals have trained staff and required mechanism to deal with fire incidents while there is a need to enhance machinery with training in two hospitals which have fire extinguishers. The team instructed the hospitals to send a letter for training to Fire Brigade Department.

Head of Fire Brigade Department R K Sure said that hospital staff would be imparted training on receiving the letter.

The names of the hospitals where the audit was done are as follows Kamalnayan Bajaj Hospital COVID Centre, CSM Hospital COVID Centre, Life Hospital COVID Centre, Golden City Hospital COVID Centre and Alpine Hospital.
