The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) health officials conducted 568 antigens and 384 RT-PCR tests (total 952 tests) at its COVID Care Centres (CCCs) and different places of the city and detected 100 Covid-19 patients today.

The health teams conducted 138 antigen tests at the CCCs and found 35 patients (including two hailing from the non-AMC areas) suffering from Coronavirus disease. The AMC personnel also held 130 RT-PCR tests in CCCs.

Meanwhile, the Special Task Force, by visiting different parts of the city, checked the health of citizens and collected swab samples. The teams today conducted 308 antigens tests and detected 56 Covid-19 patients. The mobile teams also conducted 100 RT-PCR tests.

According to AMC data, 46 RT-PCR tests were conducted by Government Medical College and Hospital, six by District Civil Hospital and 102 by private laboratories. Meanwhile, the private labs also conducted 122 antigens tests and detected nine Covid-19 patients, it stated. The AMC will receive the report of all RT-PCR tests tomorrow.
