AMC detects 13 COVID patients in city

Aurangabad, Jan 9:

The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) health officials conducted 144 antigen and 912 RT-PCR tests (total 1056 tests) at its COVID Care Centres (CCCs) and different places in the city and traced 13 Covid-19 patients today.

The health teams conducted 39 antigen tests at the CCCs and detected six Covid-19 patients, including two staying in areas out of the AMC limit, on the spot. The AMC personnel also held 244 RT-PCR tests on the suspects. Meanwhile, by visiting different parts of the city, the mobile teams conducted 45 antigen tests and detected three Covid-19 patients. It also collected swab collection of 572 suspects for RT-PCR tests.

According to AMC data, the GMCH conducted 16 RT-PCR tests; District Civil Hospital conducted two, private laboratories performed 78, on Saturday. The private laboratories also conducted 60 antigen tests and found four Covid-19 infected patients. The AMC will be receiving the reports of all RT-PCR tests tomorrow.
