Aurangabad, April 22:

The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) health officials conducted 3,635 antigens and 2,031 RT-PCR tests (total of 5,666 tests) at its COVID Care Centres (CCCs) and different places in the city and traced 161 Covid-19 patients on Thursday.

The health teams conducted 117 antigen tests at the CCCs and detected 26 persons as infected. The AMC personnel also held 637 RT-PCR tests at the CCCs. Meanwhile, by visiting different parts of the city, the mobile teams have conducted 3,334 antigen tests and detected 108 Coronavirus infected persons (including 26 from areas out of the AMC limits). They also collected swab samples of 1,049 suspects for RT-PCR tests.

According to AMC data, the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) has conducted 93 RT-PCR tests, District Civil Hospital conducted 17 and private laboratories performed 235 on Thursday. The private laboratories also conducted 184 antigen tests and found 27 infected patients. The AMC will be receiving the reports of all RT-PCR tests tomorrow.
