Aurangabad, Feb 2:

The anti-encroachment squad of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has removed encroachments made on Ghati road (at Pragati Colony) today.

The squad removed a tin shed built on an area comprising 10x10 square feet and a raised platform constructed on an area comprising 10x50 square feet.

It is learnt that the municipal commissioner had received a complaint about the encroachment. Accordingly, the additional commissioner R P Nikam and designated officer Savita Sonawane conducted a spot inspection in November 2020 and ordered the squad to remove the encroachment. Before action, the squad also obtained the Town Planning section's consent and checked the legalities, PR card of the encroacher. The residents staying in the locality were demanding action.

Under the guidance of superiors, the designated officer Vasant Bhoye, R S Rachatwar, building inspectors Syed Jamsheed, P B Gaoli, Mazhar Ali, anti-encroachment squad and AMC police took action.
