Aurangabad, Dec 2:

A 10-bed Nutrition Rehabilitation Center (NRC) was started at the district civil hospital last year. The center is closed as the district hospital is now a covid hospital. This center needs to be restarted. Therefore, efforts are underway to move the center to a temporary hospital at Karmad said deputy chief executive officer Dr Prasad Mirakale on Tuesday.

The children were kept in the NRC with their mothers for 14 days and were treated under the supervision of a dietician. This benefited more than a hundred children last year. In addition, the mothers of malnourished children were being paid Rs 100 per day till the child is admitted in the centre.
