Awareness on Depression & Addiction held at Y B Chavan College of Pharmacy

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Y B Chavan College of Pharmacy and All-India Payam-E-Insaniyat Forum jointly organised an awareness programme on “Depression and Addiction” on Saturday.

Principal Dr M H Dehghan, in his welcome address, stressed that mental health must be treated as a priority and urged students to seek help without hesitation.

Maulana Bilal Abdul Hai Hasan Nadwi (Chancellor, Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulama, Lucknow, UP) highlighted the importance of humanity, encouraging students to uphold compassion and moral values in their lives.

ACP Sagar Deshmukh, Assistant Commissioner of Police, motivated students to set high goals and remain focused, citing eminent personalities such as Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam..

Senior Psychiatrist Dr Faisal Khiliji spoke on addiction and its impact, with emphasis on behavioural addiction such as excessive mobile and social media use. Junaid Farooqui also spoke. Dr Khan Dureshahwar and Dr. Syed Iftequar Ahmed conducted the proceedings of the programme.
