Beed health machinery not ready to relieve Dr Mandlecha

Aurangabad, May 15:

Health Machinery of Beed district is not ready to relieve Dr Paras H Mandlecha who was transferred to Aurangabad.

It may be noted that the State Government transferred Dr Paras H Mandlecha (anaesthetist, Beed District Hospital) on deputation as the health officer of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) on May 10, for a period of one year considering COVID situation.

Dr Mandlecha performed the responsibility for oxygen and beds in Beed district successfully.

So, Government has transferred him to the city. The post of AMC health officer is vacant for the past several years. Medical officer Dr Neeta Padalkar was holding charge of the post since then. She worked very well in the first and second wave of a pandemic virus. The health machinery succeeded in controlling the virus spread in the city in a better way than in rural areas.

Dr Padalkar does not want to leave the post in the present situation while Beed health machinery is not ready to relieve Dr Mandlecha. There is a question before the health department to whom the responsibility should be given. The officers of the Department said that the Government orders of should be implemented. Talking to this newspaper, Dr Paras H Mandlecha said that he wishes to work in Aurangabad as per the Government directives and would take charge hereafter relieving the post in Beed.
